THURSDAY'S CHILD

Thursday's Child is a collaborative exhibition inspired by our work of at Creative Arts Workshops for Kids. CAW began in 1986 when a group of artists went into welfare hotels using the arts to teach survival skills to homeless children. Wielding the weapons of beauty and tenderness, we discovered wisdom borne of suffering, hope that transcends the most desperate circumstances and the courage of everyday people to transform their lives and their communities. In Thursday's Child we share the experience and effects of standing up for CAW's children.
